India is emerging as a big mobile market so much that all foreign companies are coming to the country. There is a stiff competition between mobile makers in how to win the hearts and minds of the enthusiasts. In a small period of time Chinese phone makers, who have taken a plunge into the Indian, have succeeded in expanding their base.

It is another story that most of them have targeted the budget segment. But the case of Oppo is different. Reports point out that from day it has been clear about its target. The mobile maker is in India to capture the high-end market. That is why in its debut it has landed in the smartphone market with its flagship N1 with a unique swivel camera. The new features make the need for separate front and back cameras redundant.

Later on it dished out a mini variant for the N1. It is not very different from what other phone makers like Samsung, Sony and HTC, did. The Oppo N1 mini is small and those who have laid their hands on it claimed that it appears to be a watered down version of the N1. Moreover its display is 5-inch in comparison to a 5.9-inch one on the N1. The handset comes with ergonomic 5-inch display that seems simply awesome.

Despite display quality being downgraded with the size, there is no denying the fact that that the display seems very good and comes with layer of Gorilla Glass for protection. When it comes to processor, the handset seems to be power-packed. But it is not as god as was expected from the company. Other handsets in this price range come with better processor. This handset comes with 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 processor. Besides it comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. Another disappointment is the news that its memory is not expandable.

But there are some strengths too. Its camera retains the prowess of the original. N1 mini comes with Oppo’s swivel camera without any changes even in the mini variant. It has 13 megapixel swivel camera along with single LED flash. Besides the handset comes with many rich features that can used even while taking selfies, owing to the 206 degree rotating camera.
