After taking the budget smartphone segment by storm, Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its premium handset Mi 4 in India. The Chinese manufacturer is known for offering powerful hardware at a relatively low-cost, and the Mi 4 is no exception. At an expected price of Rs 24,000, the phone offers the latest quad-core Snapdragon 801 chip and 3 GB RAM. Before the Mi 4 hits the Indian markets, we have managed to get our hands-on it.

Chinese handset manufacturer Xiaomi, often referred as the 'Apple of China', plans to launch its flagship Mi 4 phone in India. Xiaomi which is known for its powerful hardware will launch its premium smartphone Mi 4 equipped with the latest quad-core Snapdragon 801 chip and 3 GB RAM in Mi 4.

The Xiaomi Mi 4 package will contain the phone with the metallic frame and removable black panel, wall charger and USB cable. Interestingly, the phone does not come with earphones.

The device comes with a 5 Full HD IPS screen with a resolution of 440 ppi. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon 801 chipset ticking at 2.5 GHz. The phone features a 13 megapixel camera with dual LED flash and 8 megapixel front-facing camera, and can record HD videos at 120 fps.

It comes with an onboard storage of 16 GB but does not have a microSD slot to expand the memory. Mi 4 runs on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat and is backed with 3,080 mAh battery.

Xiaomi's customisation MIUI v6 is an imitation of iOS 8, while its lockscreen is inspired by Microsoft's mobile platform. Its connectivity features include Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0.
