Flipkart has come up with a new exchange offer for Moto X (Second Generation) smartphones, giving up to Rs. 6000 for selected trade in devices.<br />

The flagship devices of Motorola, including Moto G and Moto X, are available in India only via the online retailer Flipkart. Moto X device is listed for a price of Rs. 31,999 but, if one is fortunate to get a full exchange price for an old device, one can own the feature rich Moto X (Second Generation) for a discounted price as low as Rs. 25,999.<br />

Flipkart is currently accepting smartphones from manufacturers such as Apple, Alcatel, BlackBerry, Asus, HTC, Huawei, Karbonn, LG, Lava, Lenovo, Xiaomi, Motorola, Micromax, Nokia, Samsung, Xolo and Sony.<br />

Users can select their handset model and see the exchange price of their device. Also, the exchange offer is restricted to certain cities.<br />

The Moto X device is one of the first Motorola devices in the US to receive the latest Android Lollipop 5.0 update. Motorola had also announced a soak test of Android Lollipop 5.0 for Moto G (second generation) users in India. It’s likely Moto X devices in India should also receive the Lollipop update in a matter of a few weeks.<br />

The Gear VR Innovator Edition for the Galaxy Note 4 smartphone is available for pre-registration from Samsung, and is slated for delivery in the United States early next month. LG on Tuesday launched a new handset for young customers named AKA. There is no word on the handset's price, or its availability details outside of South Korea - where it will be available on all three telecom carriers.<br />
<br />
The highlight of the LG AKA is the option to use four different cover cases, namely Eggy (Yellow), Wookie (White), Soul (Blue) and YoYo (Pink). The cover cases partially hide the display of the smartphone, letting it show animated eyes on the visible portion of the screen, providing notification details and battery status information to the user. All four cases feature different-styled eyes, and are meant to portray different moods.<br />
<br />
The handset houses a 5-inch IPS display with HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution and is powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz processor (unspecified) with 1.5GB of RAM. The Android 4.4 KitKat-based LG AKA also features an 8-megapixel rear and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone sports 16GB of inbuilt storage, along with microSD card expandability, as per the firm's blog post on its social website.<br />

LG AKA's connectivity options include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, NFC, GPS, AGPS, and USB 2.0. Measuring 138.7x71.9x9.9mm, the handset weighs 135.5 grams (without the cover case) and is backed by a 2610mAh battery.<br />

The South Korean consumer electronics giant on Monday started rolling out its KizON wristband in Europe. LG KizON is a wearable device exclusively designed to help parents track their pre-school and primary school children. It was which was launched in July.<br />

The LG H440n’s early debut could be the first sign of an upcoming H-series, although there’s little other than the leak to go on at this point.<br />

The H440n would be LG’s first handset to tout the ‘H’ prefix, with the firm’s current flagship range instead opting for the letter ‘G’ (read: LG G3).<br />

This could mean the H-series will come in at a different price point than LG’s highest-end fare.<br />

A mid-tier approach for the H440n could be especially likely as the benchmark revealed it would boast a distinctly average 1280 x 720 display resolution.<br />

The LG G3, by comparison, sports a gargantuan 5.5-inch measuring in at a 2560 x 1440 resolution.<br />

If the new device does come to fruition, the LG H440n will be the European model, with two variants also set for a US release, namely the T-mobile LG H441, and the AT&T LG H443.<br />

What’s also interesting about the benchmark leak is that the new device was running Android 5.0 Lollipop, Google’s latest OS. Lollipop still hasn’t landed on the LG G3 yet.<br />
<br />
Android 5.0 officially launched last month, bringing with it 64-bit chip support, battery life improvements, better cross-platform functionality, and an overhauled ‘material design’ aesthetic.<br />

While there’s no release date or official word on this device just yet, it’s expected that LG will publicly launch the H440n early next year, albeit with a more minimalist name.<br />

The company posted late Thursday a teaser of a smartphone with #MoreLumia hashtag, showing off an orange frame around what is presumably the front of the camera.<br />

The new Lumia smartphone will mark the first time the product line drops the Nokia moniker in favor of Microsoft's name, signifying a new chapter for the mobile devices, which have struggled in the marketplace. The smartphones, which have featured bright colors and a reputation for powerful cameras, barely make a dent as far as sales go, except in a few emerging markets. But Lumia smartphones may have a new lease on life under Microsoft -- at least that's the company's hope.<br />

"Microsoft is delivering the power of everyday mobile technology to everyone," states the new post on the renamed Conversations blog where Microsoft and previously Nokia share Lumia-related news.<br />

The Windows Phone operating system likewise needs a spark. The OS has yet to catch on and powers just 2.5 percent of the world's mobile devices, according to market researcher IDC. In comparison, Google's Android OS runs on nearly 85 percent of mobile devices worldwide.<br />

The orange frame of the teaser image ties together with the orange image that Microsoft revealed last month that touted the Microsoft logo alone. Although the image showed only part of what could be a new smartphone, the company name and Windows-shaped logo aren't actually joined by the word Lumia.<br />

The logo switch is part of Microsoft's effort to more fully take control over its new smartphone business. The Lumia line plays an important role as an ambassador of sorts for the company's Windows Phone platform. Even before Microsoft acquired Nokia's mobile devices unit for $7.2 billion in April, the Lumia smartphone line was often used to tout the latest version of Windows Phone.<br />

Microsoft has increasingly attempted to push its platforms through its own efforts in hardware. On the Windows side, Microsoft has its Surface tablets, which despite a rough start are beginning to see momentum. The company reported revenue of $908 million on Surface sales in its fiscal first quarter that ended September 30, up 127 percent from a year ago. It's hoping to do the same with the Lumia line of smartphones.<br />

The interested consumers can now book a Gear S unit after paying INR 1,000, which will be adjusted from the final price of the smartwatch once it is available.<br />

Home grown manufacturer, iBall has extended its Andi range of devices with the launch of not one but three new smartphones: the Andi 3.5F Grabit, Andi 4F Waves, and Andi 4h Tiger+. Design: It’s a good looking smartphone. The overall look of the phone seems to be inspired by the older iPhones, however, Huawei has taken care to pay attention to minor detailing. The glass back and plastic sides may give an impression that the device is frail but the third generation Corning Glass protection assures strength. The build quality is good and the device feels solid in hands.<br />

Display: Sharp and crisp. The 5-inch Full HD screen does its best. The viewing angles are decent. The display performs well under sunlight as well. Users shouldn’t have any complains with the display quality of the smartphone.<br />
<br />
Software: The device runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and is sugar-coated with Huawei’s Emotion 2.3 UI. Overall, the experience is good and the UI offers some handy customisations as well.<br />
<br />
Camera: The 13 MP rear camera is decent if not great. However, there is certain amount of noise in the images even in good lighting conditions. The front 5 MP camera produced surprisingly good results. Overall, it is fast, colours are nearly accurate and average users shouldn’t have much to complain.<br />

Performance: Huawei Honor 6 promises a lot on paper and it even delivers. An octa-core processor with 3 GB RAM is enough to attract any smartphone buyer. But the hardware does a good job in the most demanding situations. I did not encounter any sort of lags. Also, the phone doesn’t heat up much.<br />
