Lava International today launched its first Windows Phone smartphone in India, called the Lava Iris Win1. This new smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs. 4,999 to compete with the recently launched Celkon Win 400, which is now available in the Indian market for Rs. 4,749.
The Iris Win1 runs on Windows Phone 8.1 operating system and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor along with 1GB of RAM. The smartphone has 8GB internal storage along with microSD card support for expansion up to 32GB.
There is a 4-inch display with 800 x 480 pixels (WVGA) resolution. The smartphone sports a 5-megapixel BSI+ camera sensor on the rear along with an LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel camera sensor is available on the front.
The smartphone has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS and a microUSB port on the connectivity front and comes with dual-SIM support with 3G and 2G network access.
Lava has provided a 1,950mAh battery on the Iris Win1 which is expected to give at least a complete day backup on a single charge.
