Vivo Mobile today officially unveiled the Vivo X5 Max at an event in China. This new smartphone is touted as the world’s slimmest smartphone with 4.75mm thin design, thinner than Oppo R5 and Gionee Elife S5.1.
The Vivo X5 Max features a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (full-HD) resolution and is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset which has four Cortex-A53 cores at a clock-speed of 1.7GHz and four cores at 1GHz speed, which comes equipped along with 2GB of RAM. There is 16GB internal storage along with microSD card slot.
The smartphone sports a 13-megapixel Sony IMX214 camera sensor on the rear along with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel camera sensor is available on the front. There is Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, NFC and a microUSB port on the connectivity front and the smartphone has dual-SIM support along with 4G LTE network access.
Vivo has provided its Funtouch OS 2.0 skin on the top of Android 4.4 KitKat operating system to deliver users a fresh experience over stock Android. Lastly, there is a 2,000mAh battery which would provide a complete day backup on a single charge.
The Vivo X5 Max will be available in China starting December 22 with a price tag of CNY 2,998 (approximately Rs. 30,000).
Vivo recently scheduled a press event in India for next week to announce the launch of the X5 Max smartphone in the country. The Chinese company has partnered with Viacom18 to enter the Indian market and start its operations through retail channels.
